Late September Update~

After I was done with summer session, my parents made a last minute decision to bring me back to Asia… and so I was back in Asia for a week ^^;;

While I was back in Shanghai again, I found out that there’s a Rilakkuma themed Lawson store. If you don’t know yet, Lawson is one of the largest convenience stores in Japan and they slowly (in my opinion) expanded into other countries in the last… decade? I believe in the US only Hawaii has Lawson.

Nevertheless I had to go visit it! The store is pretty cute but I was pretty disappointed to how little the Rilakkuma things they were selling 😦 I thought they would sell plushs from San-X. They did have the ‘Aloha Rilakkuma’ and ‘Which Color Do You Like’ series on displayed though they weren’t for sale.

I ended up picking this really cute lunch box pouch and it was also relatively cheap compare the prices of things sold from San-x!

When I got back to US I finally saw my two huge Rilakkuma XL plushes. They are indeed really big and I’m not use to seeing such big plushes in my room since all the plushes I collect are standard size.

You can get these plushes from claw machines and I believe if you’re in Southern California, you can get these at a Japanese arcade called Round 1.

I really like this set of plushes because of the details and I super adore the little penguin that Korilakkuma is holding!

I also finally got the Kiiroitori from the 10th Anniversary series that came out sooooo long ago! I’m sad how it takes so long for the stores in the US to get the plushes 😦 Nevertheless, the wait was worth it because the plush is really cute!

 

I can’t wait for October~~ Just in a week we’ll be starting to get the new ‘Happy Natural Time’ series  😀 😀 😀 I seriously can’t wait to get my hands on the plushies that are coming out~!

Happy Natural Time With Rilakkuma

As we slowly start rolling into September, we are having another big wave of new Rilakkuma releases. I’m a bit bummed out about not being able to get the Halloween Play Set that just came out yesterday. I accidentally set my alarm an hour later after the released time and when I went on, it was already all sold out >A< Nevertheless, I was super excited when I saw San-X officially released the items for its October series: Happy Natural Time With Rilakkuma. I can’t believe how fast time has past! It feels like forever when I first saw the leaked photo of the plushes for this series and now we’re only just a month away from it being released!!

I seriously cannot wait for this series to come out!! I love the designs of the products for this series, mainly because its all flowery and nature related~

Lawson is also doing another collaboration with San-X on this series.

First, they are releasing a Lawson limited edition plush set as well for this series! I have already pre-ordered mine online and for those of you that haven’t, you can still pre-order it here from now till October 31 (or I guess until they run out of stock). As always, Lawson’s play sets cost 3,990 yen (around $40) and this set won’t be release until December 20th~

They are also doing the stamp collecting campaign again where you buy certain merchaindises in the store with the Rilakkuma stamps and you collect a certain number of them to exchange for prizes.

One of the prizes you can exchange for is this super adorable mug!! I seriously wish Lawson in other countries had this campaign but sadly it’s only limited to Japan >A< If you’re in Japan, don’t miss this opportunity! You have now till November 25th to collect 30 stickers and get this mug!!

Big Update: New Series and New Plush Sets!

I feel like San-X has been releasing so many new releases this week!!

First off is the Halloween series for this year~~ Instead of having similar costumes for all three of them, Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma, and Kiiroitori will each be wearing their own Halloween costumes: Rilakkuma will be a wolf, Korilakkuma will be a vampire, and Kiiroitori will be a pumpkin. I personally feel like this year’s Halloween series didn’t wow me as much as the past few years What do you guys think?

I also noticed that the price for the plushes have increased *A* It used to be 1,500 yen (around 15 dollars) and the Halloween plushes will be 1,680 yen (about 17 dollars).

I’m guessing since this year is Rilakkuma’s 10th Anniversary, they are releasing another special limited plush set for Halloween as well! I think the RIlakkuma pumpkin is soooo adorable >u< But this set of plush comes at a hefty price: 15,000 yen (around 150 dollars). This set reminds me of the one they released for the Hawaii series where, which the island was RIlakkuma’s face.

You may be wondering, why is this set so much more expensive? I noticed that the three plushes that are included in this set are actually the standard sizes and also you get two costumes for them to changed into! I’m tempted to get it but I’m still debating I’m able to splurge that much >.<

The Halloween series will be available on September 7th, both in stores and online! So if you have your eyes on this set, go grab it quick before it runs out!

San-X website have also been posting sneak peaks of photos of this year’s Christmas set and its finally out! I saw it and thought the entire concept of this year’s set is really adorable! They are once again sticking with the Wonderland theme to make a grand closing for Rilakkuma’s 10th Anniversary!!

This set includes a total of 8 plushes and 1 Christmas Tree. You can use a string or some hanger to hang them on your Christmas as ornaments! I think the entire concept is just so adorable! The box which you store them in is also like a Christmas present xD This is definitely a wonderful present for a Rilakkuma collector! Sadly, this set comes at a hefty price as well: 17,500 yen (around 175 dollars). You are able to pre-order this set online right here. This set will be open for pre-order from today till September 23!

The last two new releases are related to store anniversaries! I can’t believe it’s been an year already!! Sapporo and Umeda store will be celebrating their anniversaries in September! Unlike the last batch of anniversary plushes, this year’s theme somewhat ambiguous. I think it may be related to Japanese festival? What do you guys think?

The Sapporo Store will be carrying the trio in Rabbit costumes! They are a lot cheaper than regular plushes (1,300 yen or around 13 dollars), though they are a lot smaller than the standard size.

The Umeda Store will be carrying just only the Rilakkuma plush (with Kiiroitori on the back). This plush is a bit more expensive since it’s a special shaped plush and it’ll be around 1,600 (around 16 dollars).

I’m not going to lie; I have mix feelings for these two store anniversary plushes. I think San-X may have dedicate too much of its effort into creating wonderful series for the 10th Anniversary that perhaps maybe they ran out of time to create something nice for the store anniversary? I think I’m going to pass on these two sets. I hope the next store anniversary plush will be much more adorable >.<

LAST but not least, San-X have officially released the series that will be coming out in October. They haven’t released the products for this series yet but they have released a cover art for it!

I have seen leaked photos of the plushes though and I have to say, it’s so adorable!! I am definitely going to get all three >u<

Early August Haul~~

Sorry for the lack of update~ After returning back to the states, I only had a few days before summer session started… but here is a quick update of a haul that I got in between June and July~ I have been asking Ariel from Rilakkuma Desu to help me bid on some plushes on Yahoo Auction~ If you need any help on getting plushies, you can email her 🙂

So the first set of plushes that I have asked Ariel to get for me was the Sky Tree Anniversary Plushes~ These two are sooo adorable and when I saw the huge ones in the Rilakkuma Sky Tree Store, I couldn’t wait to see the ones that I have gotten~

I also got the Kiiroitori from the 10th Anniversary series. At first I didn’t realize these were limited edition and when I did, I was so sad that I miss them by a few days (since I left Japan a few days earlier before they were released)… but at last I’m able to get my hands on it C:

This plush to be honest is a lot bigger than I thought it would be… I guess its because of the drum Kii is holding. I also love the small details on the plush! The little Rilakkuma face on the side of Kii’s uniform is adorable as well as Rilakkuma’s pink tail 😛

Last but not least is Kiiroitori from the Tower Records!! I seriously missed this series by ONE day as well ;-; At first I wasn’t planning on getting it but the more I saw it, the more it grew on me and so I ended up deciding to get it as well ^_^

How can you resist that green pompom on his head?! I’m kidding haha, I really like the Kii’s guitar xD

I also got a few free things when I got my package. I got a Rilakkuma and a Korilakkuma little figurine as well as a small Kiiroitori keychain plush 🙂

Can’t wait for new series to come out! I have been seeing some bloggers posting about the deer series that is rumor to come out either in September or October~~ Seems like there’s some really nice series coming out for the next half of the year 🙂 Let’s see what surprises San-X is going to bring to us~

July Update~

As we know, this month all the Rilakkuma 10th Anniversary plushes are being released! There has been a lot of releases this past week 😀

First of all, Tower Records have already released its limited edition plushes this week. I was in Japan just last week and sadly wasn’t able to make it to its release 😦 Their outfits are so cute and I find it adorable that Kiiroitori has green hair xD (Image from Record Towers)

Many of you probably also know that San-X has a Rilakkuma convention where they are showcasing the different Rilakkuma products and plushes that have been released in the past. While browsing through the page, I found that they released another new set!

Aren’t they sooo cute?!!! I really stayed in Japan a bit longer to get this set ;_____; I love how they’re siting on their own throne and carrying a plush xD

Also Lawson has released it’s pre-order for the 10th Anniversary plush!

Last but not lease, San-X has collaborated with Yamanote Line in releasing exclusive Rilakkuma just for it! Rilakkuma looks so cute in those clothes xD

So many release and so little money >__< I just realized that San-X took online order for it’s limited edition 3 set plush (the car one) but it’s already sold out online ;____; If only I saw it online faster today! >_<

 

 

Japan Trip~~

I just came back from Japan trip a few days ago 😀 It was a very fun but short trip. I didn’t have a lot of time to go to places and was kind of bummed out when I knew I was going to miss Rilakkuma 10th Anniversary Plush sells (which goes on sale this coming weekend).

To my surprise, I actually didn’t get a lot of Rilakkuma items this time when I went there, mainly because the ones I wanted were sold out 😦 I visited the Tokyo Station and Sky Tree stores, trying to get all 3 of the Comic Series plush but wasn’t able to get Kiiroitori in the end.

Nevertheless, Korilakkuma and Rilakkuma are both so cute!! I’m glad both of these were in stock when I got them!

I also ended up getting the Book Stationary from the 10th Anniversary Marching Band series as well as a little Kiiroitori charm. As a promotion at the Rilakkuma stores, if you spent over 2,000 yen, you get a free card sticker too 😀

I was surprised to find that the Sky Tree Anniversary plush were still in stock. They were so cute but I have already asked Ariel to help me bid on the smaller ones online.

My brother also got me this Kiiroitori for my super belated birthday gift. He’s so adorable!! I also like his Rilakkuma shirt and the four leaf clover 😀

I also ended up getting a medium size Korilakkuma plush. I always transfer at Narita airport whenever I’m flying between Asia and US. I have seen the toy store in the Narita airport selling the Korilakkuma and Rilakkuma plushes for almost an year. I never bought one until this trip, though sadly Rilakkuma was sold out already. I’m probably going to go hunt for the medium size Rilakkuma plush to match with Korilakkuma in Taiwan or online :3

Also while I was in Japan, I also found that the Rilakkuma Lawson Limited Edition plush open for ordering! I asked a family friend to help me order but not too sure if she will be able to get it or not >__< *finger cross* Guess we will find out in November~

June Update~

T-31 hours till finals! I’ve been studying nonstop and decided to take a break and go on Facebook. Right when I signed on, this is what I saw:

This is San-X limited edition 10th Anniversary plush!!! I literally shrieked when I saw it… hope I didn’t wake my housemates up >.< This set is so adorable! You can read more here! This entire set will be sale on July 13th. The price for this entire set is a bit on the higher end, 12,000 yen or about $124 according to Google. But looking at the details of this entire set, I think it’s really worth the money.

The Rilakkuma stage is 18 by 25 by 16 cm, the Korilakkuma house is 24 by 20 by 14 cm, and the Kiiroitori cage is 26 by 20 by 15 cm. The sizes are a tad bit bigger than the usual standard Rilakkuma plushes (those are usually around 21cm tall).

I believe these are the standard plush for the 10th anniversary series. I was just wondering too how come they never released the standard plushes and now they have! I can’t wait to get Kiiroitori! I feel like I haven’t been getting any Kiiroitori plushes for so long >__<

San-X has also been continuing with the store anniversary sweets theme plushes. Harajuku will be celebrating its 1 year anniversary (I still remember last year when it just opened!) and this time the plushes are shaped into crepes!

They look so cute but reminds me more of a banana than a crepe 😛 Just wondering, do you guys know if you can take the plushes out of their crepes or are they stuck in their forever? This set will be released on June 29/30. I love the small details such as the strawberries on their heads and the cream.

Rilakkuma Wonderland

San-X has officially announced the new series that everyone has been waiting for – Rilakkuma Wonderland. The entire series is orientated around the marching band/wonderland theme and will be released in July of this year. I think a lot of the items in this series are really adorable~

I really love the clips that are being released! I like these clips since they’re super adorable and I love how there’s a lot more designs too!

I also love the stationaries! I think the entire theme just gets me into the mood for celebration! I like the box letter set because suits the theme a lot! It really reminds me of Alice In Wonderland and how when you open the book, you’re taken to a magical place.

The carousel jewelry boxes are so cute too! Even though it’s not cheap (it’s around $30), the small details of the entire thing is worth it! I wonder how big this will be though but it’s perfect for any girls that love Rilakkuma!

The plushes, as I have posted in my previous post, are going to be released in this series as well! I can’t wait for it to come out >.<

Also recently I found a really nice shop that sells a lot of Rilakkuma plushes at decent price (click here for link). If you haven’t heard of this store before, it’s called Modes 4 U and it carries a lot of San-X items from Re-ments to plushies to stationaries! They have a lot of Rilakkuma plushes at reasonable prices! It is worth checking out (: The mailing takes around a week to two week from Hong Kong to the United States.

Rilakkuma 10th Anniversary Series

So we all know that San-X is going all out for Rilakkuma’s 10th Anniversary. I was shopping online and I found a new plush that will be released in July~!!

Aren’t they adorable?! They’re also big too! Korilakkuma looks so cute and her penguin toy is back too! Rumors have it that this set of plush will be released in June to August. I’m not too sure if this is part of the UFO toys but at the same time, this photo looks like it was taken from the San-X catalog that sellers get each month to order the items for their stores.

I also found this new series that will be released in July.

Here is the keychains of the series. I wonder if they’re going to make plush versions.

Quick Update~

I recently been a bit busy and haven’t really done updates >__< So you guys probably know already, San-X released a 10 year anniversary limited edition plush! They are also releasing other items for the this special event!

I believe you have to order the plush at the current exhibition in Japan if you want the plush. They are wearing the same clothes as seen in the first pic! I think they’re pretty adorable but I don’t think I will be getting them because people that are helping to get the plushes are most likely going to be selling them expensive T__T

Sky Tree Tower is also having it’s store anniversary! I think I might get it because they are so adorable! Doesn’t the watermelon remind you of summer? This is also the first time that they have big size plushes for special event! If you want one, it will be selling starting on May 22 (Wednesday). There will be limited edition pins as well and those will be given out on Ma 25-26 (Saturday – Sunday).

I’m most likely going to get this set, or if not, at least Korilakkuma. I can’t decide if I want to get the big ones or the small ones >.<

Last but not least, I think this raffle came out some time but I didn’t really hear about it until I was ordering Rilakkuma things online the other day! This is the Rilakkuma Classic raffle Part 28. I think the items in here are pretty adorable! The two big prizes are limited edition plushes! I really like the lying down Rilakkuma because it has a funny drawing on its butt. The dining set and pouch are cute too~
